BAnQ Gradually Reopens its Facilities

By July 2, the Public Will Be Able to Visit the Grande Bibliothèque, the 10 national archives centres and BAnQ Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie

Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) is pleased to announce the reopening of its 12 facilities across Québec in the coming weeks. The public will be able to visit the Grande Bibliothèque again, starting on July 2.

BAnQ will gradually resume operations at its various locations. In the coming weeks, in accordance with guidelines issued by the Direction de la santé publique, our staff will be working hard to get ready to safely welcome users at the following facilities: the national archives centres in Québec City, Montréal, Rouyn-Noranda, Gatineau, Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivières, Saguenay, Rimouski, Gaspé and Sept-Îles, as well as at BAnQ Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie and the Grande Bibliothèque..

Good news for researchers

Starting in early June, staff members at the 10 national archives centres across the province as well as at BAnQ Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie and at the National Collection will be processing research requests by telephone and email as they used to. The dates when these facilities will once again be open to on-site users will be announced at a later date
