Georges Leroux, Professor Emeritus, Department of Philosophy, Université du Québec à Montréal, will pronounce a keynote address entitled Raymond Klibansky (1905-2005) – Esquisse d’une biographie intellectuelle to launch the international workshop Raymond Klibansky et l'héritage warburgien des sciences de la culture (Raymond Klibansky and the Warburgian Legacy of the Cultural Sciences). This workshop, organized by The Canadian Centre for German and European Studies with the support of BAnQ and of the DAAD is a companion to the exhibition on Raymond Klibansky’s library held at the Grande Bibliothèque until August 25, 2013.

It is worth noting that Georges Leroux provided overall direction for a magnificent catalogue, prepared in collaboration with McGill University’s Rare Books and Special Collections Division, which highlights the bibliographic treasures of the Raymond Klibansky collection, one of the richest private collections in North America. The 176-page work was recently published by BAnQ.
