Study carrels

Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) makes study carrels available to those who receive grants under its Research Support Program and library subscribers whose accounts are in good standing. The purpose of these rooms is to promote the best possible use of BAnQ's collections, and their use is reserved for the following projects only:

  • research related to university studies (master's, doctoral or post-doctoral level);
  • research done by BAnQ grant recipients
  • publications.

There are 10 such carrels available and they are located in the Grande Bibliothèque. There are six in the national collection, two on Level 2 (economics, business, science and technology) and two on Level 3 (history, humanities and social sciences).
