By using, in particular, the new technologies, BAnQ seeks to provide all Quebecers with easy, practical access to numerous bibliographic and documentary resources. The Iris catalogue and the PISTARD data bank are accessible on the Internet, as are hundreds of thousands of digitized documents. Already available in digital format are:

• 30,000 books, including the Tanguay dictionary;
• 60,000 documents and archival records of the French Regime in the PISTARD data bank;
• More than 35,000 postcards and posters in the PISTARD data bank;
• Genealogical dictionaries, geographic maps, and family and local monographs listed in the Iris catalogue.
