Heritage collection of artwork reproductions

Description of the collection

The heritage collection of artwork reproductions contains more than 700 images. It consists of reproductions of artworks by Québec and foreign artists published between the 1960s and the present.

An artwork reproduction is the exact duplication of an existing image without any creative or interpretative intervention. It is made using a photomechanical or photographic process, and involves no artistic modification of the original work.

This collection has expanded since legal deposit requirements were extended in 1992, and it now includes figurative pictorial works by Québec artists, mainly paintings and drawings.
